Project Overview:

Our challenge was to turn this blank narrow living room into a bachelor’s pad that would also serve as a backdrop for filming movie clips. Since our client was renting this space, we had to limit our design choice to options that could be easily returned to their original condition.

We started by creating a focal wall for the sectional. A combination of paint and wall covering were used. Black paint was anchored with two strips of wallpaper made from wood and easy to remove. A sectional was placed against the accent wall anchored each side by sleek end tables, and a round cocktail table with black ribbed sides sits below the circular black metal chandelier. A white boucle accent chair completes the seating arrangement. A TV console provides the storage needed in this space and a modern rug anchors the space.

For the sliding door, custom drapery panels were made from a black and white embroidered print which resembles the geometric design in the wallpaper. Custom motorized roller shades provide a black out effect. When needed the shades can be raised to enjoy the view and have access to the balcony.
