Room for a Princess

Project Overview:

This room had a lot of architectural detailing and molding. We wanted to enhance the ceilings to make the beautiful trim stand out. We decided to paint the tall, sloped ceiling in a pink hue and kept the molding white to enhance the details of the ceiling. We needed a spectacular yet dramatic chandelier; we hung a two-tiered, halo chandelier filled with crystals, and it made a massive statement in the room. We chose a gorgeous print wallpaper that complemented the pink and cream color palette for the main wall.

In front of the wallpaper, we placed an elegant silver canopy bed with a cream fabric headboard and footboard. We dressed the bed in shimmery crème bedding and the pillows that complemented the dusty rose color of the room. We flanked modern mirrored nightstands that connected to the chandelier and silver bed frame on each side of the bed. To provide storage and a little more crème in the space, we chose a silken pearl modern dresser for storage with a silken pearl finish with metal legs.

We chose window treatments in a crème with a dusty rose pattern to add pattern and color to the space. We added a cream and soft pink faux fur ottoman in the bedroom for shoe storage. To complement the window treatments and wall color, we added artwork to each side of the window and accessorized the room to give the space a finished look.
