Project Overview:

Our clients decided to update their 20-year-old family room. We chose to update the hardwood flooring with a darker wood stain. The old built-in mantle and chair railing was removed. A color palette of navy, gray, and accents of burnt orange was selected. The old fireplace and mantle were replaced with a sleek design. A wall of beautiful porcelain large-scale tile was installed in its place. A new electric fireplace replaced the old wood fireplace.

The couple loves to recline and watch TV, so two modern recliners were positioned across from the TV. A gray sofa with metal legs was placed in front of a contemporary jute rope and glass cocktail table. Linear LED lights flank each side of the TV inside a box created with navy grass cloth, and a white credenza with a gray quilted faux leather door is nested under the TV.

An accent chair with an open back concept in ink blue velvet completes the seating. A side table with a bubble glass top and stainless-steel base flank the chair. A woven end table crafted in woven rope with a glass top is a bohemian beauty that adds whimsy to the two modern leather recliners. Accessories with a pop of burnt orange add great contrast to the room. A simple wool rug in dark blue grounds the space.
