The homeowner wanted to have a modern, classy, inviting dining room created in their new home. Space is open to the living room and required cohesion between both areas.
The soft, gray paint color was chosen for the walls and to add drama; the coffered ceiling was painted in a darker charcoal color. The homeowner had already selected an antique mirror table in a champagne finish. Matching chairs in a gray velvet were elected. A rug in a graphic pattern with gray, golds and creme was chosen to balance the colors in the overall space. A mirrored buffet added the glam the homeowner wanted. A crystal chandelier in smoke gray added traditional flair to the modern dining option in the room. Panels drape the large picture window. The fabric is creme jacquard with silver highlights. They are hung from round champagne colored holdbacks which fit perfectly in the space above the window. Two creme hostess chairs help to soften the feel of the table. Two art pieces with sculptures in silver and gold flank the sideboard and gold accessories help to tie the space together. Overall, the homeowners love their new dining room. It was just what they had in mind.
