Designer of the Year
Designer of the Year, presented by Decorating Den Interiors, has been awarded to franchise owner Monique Holland of Washington D.C. This was the company’s 38th International Dream Room awards presentation, held at the company’s DESIGNCON 2022 annual conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The franchise sisters Barbara Elliott and Jennifer Ward-Woods and their design team of Stone Mountain, GA, were 1st Runners Up. They won 1st Place in family room, bedroom, kitchen and outdoor categories, 2nd Place in living room and outdoor, as well as third in the bathroom category. Their designer Chunja Sinclair was awarded both 2nd and 3rd Place in the Children’s category.
The Donayre Award, which is voted on by company franchisees, was won by Lisa Bibawi of Dallas for her first place in the living room category. Barbara and Jennifer won second for their family room and Holland won third for her winning dining room. Barbara and Jennifer were also honored with 3rd Place for their kitchen entry in The People’s Choice where all Dream Room entries are judged online by the general public.
