A Golden Slumber Awaits

Our client envisioned a master suite with luxury and sophistication, but the existing layout presented significant challenges. The room was small, with a protruding wall limiting space for the bed, and the sitting area was isolated in an adjacent room separated by French doors. To create a cohesive and open design, we removed the intrusive wall, expanded the master bedroom into the sitting area, and eliminated the French doors, seamlessly integrating the two spaces into one harmonious retreat.

Project Overview:

To create a cohesive and open retreat, we removed an intrusive wall, expanded the master bedroom, and eliminated the French doors, seamlessly merging the spaces. An ivory upholstered bed is flanked by oversized mahogany bachelor’s chests with hourglass-shaped doors, topped with modern pendant lights and gold-framed mirrors for added height and elegance.

A backdrop of natural oak paneling extends from the wall across the ceiling, creating architectural flow. A mid-century-inspired console with sliding tambour doors adds style and function, complemented by custom artwork. The sitting area features a striking fireplace wall with shimmering tiles, custom bookshelves, and cabinetry that echo the woodwork above.

For seating, an ivory boucle and caviar wood settee pairs with a burl wood coffee table, bar cart, and gold-brushed brass floor lamp. Grasscloth wallpaper adds warmth throughout, while a wood and gold leaf entry door makes a bold statement. Motorized window treatments provide effortless privacy, completing this sophisticated, luxury retreat.
