The twelve-year occupant of this room loves animals and wants to be a Veterinarian. She did not want anything pink and loves green! Two colors were chosen for the walls, while white furniture provides a brilliant contrast. Accessories and accents reflect her love of animals.

We decided to paint the room in two colors. Two walls in aqua blue and two walls in a lemongrass color to give more interest to the awkwardly shaped room.

We chose a white platform bed and dresser in order to give the room the appearance of being larger. The bedding was fabricated in an aqua blue and green design fabric while keeping in mind that the teenager loves green.

Art in abstract florals was hung above the bed. We added a handpainted chest as a nightstand along with the side of the bed.

Accessories for the room were done in owls, birds, dogs, and elephants. A large yellow porcelain lamp was placed on the painted nightstand. We added a box pleated valance with decorative tape to frame and soften the window. To complete the space a large border area rug was placed under the bed at an angle to anchor the furniture.
