Luxury Bedroom with a Lakeside View

From the beginning, our goal for this primary suite was to create a true retreat—one that felt calm, layered, and restorative while preserving the home’s most valuable asset: the expansive lake views. The challenge was to balance intimacy with openness, ensuring the room felt enveloped without competing with the natural beauty beyond the windows.

Project Overview:

The custom wall paneling wraps the room in a rich blue tone—a color deeply loved by the clients. This saturated backdrop creates depth and serenity while allowing the views to remain the focal point. The color palette is built on layered shades of blue, gray, and crème, creating a calm, tonal foundation. Soft upholstery, tailored bedding, and plush textiles were used to enhance comfort and quiet luxury, while accents of black and gold add contrast and refinement. These darker notes ground the palette and introduce a subtle edge without overpowering the room’s tranquil mood.

Warm wood ceiling beams add balance to the cool palette and add organic warmth overhead. A modern ceiling fan provides comfort while maintaining clean sightlines and architectural simplicity. Furnishings were intentionally scaled to feel substantial yet unobtrusive, allowing circulation to remain open and the views uninterrupted. We chose the bedding to maintain the feeling of luxury. The accessories add just the elements needed to make the room feel living in from the picture frames to the curated boxes for storage.

A seating area was integrated to extend the functionality of the bedroom, offering a place to read, reflect, or simply enjoy the scenery. The adjoining coffee bar was designed as a quiet luxury moment—bringing hospitality into the private suite and reinforcing the idea of retreat.
