Our clients wanted to update their bedroom into a sophisticated, relaxed space.

Project Overview:

We opted to keep the dark gray wood accent wall and the newly installed light fixture. Everything else was replaced. We chose a creme upholstered bed with a softly flared headboard design as the focal point of this room to contrast with the dark wall.

A pair of chests in a white oak soft taupe finish with a champagne-colored bar pulls flank each side of the bed. Tall lamps made from hammered brass with a linen shade provide ample lighting on each side of the bed. For relaxing, a 3-piece seating group was selected, 2 oversized armchairs with an oversized ottoman coved in a taupe-colored chenille fabric, giving the clients just what they wanted.

A pair of small accent tables with a mirrored top provide the space for a drink or a book. A bench is covered in a crème fabric with gold legs and hugs the foot of the bed. Opposite the bed, an earthy, elegant, and organic Entertainment Credenza crafted of oak veneers in a dark finish with gold-colored fissure motifs across the door fronts gives a landing for the TV.

For the bedding, we chose a duvet in a metallic bronze fabric for the coverlet. Charcoal gray shams were made in faux fur and bronze, and blue king sham pillows with a fil coupe embroidered pattern give an Art Deco influence. A bolster in gray velvet accent with a decorative tape completes the bed.

A pair of panels in a taupe textured fabric flank the wall of 5 windows. A bronze connects the panels while still allowing the view. Automated shades hang in the single windows and provide privacy. A pair of handcrafted art hangs over the bed and simple accessories complete the look.
