Kelly Green Kitchen

Our client’s kitchen was quite small and the wall to the family room made it feel even tighter. There was minimal counter space and overall there was a lack of functionality.

Project Overview:

We changed the layout by removing the cooktop from the island and we designed a larger island with a beverage fridge and microwave flanking deep drawers for pot storage. The refrigerator was built in and moved to the opposite end of the kitchen and a new range with a beautiful hood was placed where the refrigerator was previously. New white cabinets with Shaker style doors were built to the ceiling for extra storage and to increase the feel of the space.

A large-scale tile was laid horizontally on the floor and we chose a backsplash with a combination of glass, ceramic, and metal to tie it all together. For the island, we chose a bright Kelly-green color with brass and acrylic hardware.

A custom round wood table finished in a linen white top and gray base were paired with contemporary armchairs covered in a geometrical green and cream fabric. Backless counter stools in white linen provide the new island with extra seating. Lighting with glass balls and gold trim adorn the island and accent the round dining table. For the windows, a valance was designed with a fabric pattern that mimicked the look of the backsplash. A banding surrounds the sides and bottom of the window treatment.
