Project Overview:

The challenge with this room was that it had a good amount of space, but an awkward layout. It was important to maintain the view while giving space for a king size bed and a sitting area.

We chose a color palette of blue, green and white to mimic the outside. We painted the bed wall an emerald green color and chose a four-poster iron bed. Each side of the bed is flanked with tall blue chests for storage and we added a pair of swivel chairs opposite the windows to allow our clients to be able to sit and look at the beautiful view. A white chest was chosen for the wall opposite the bed. The client did not require a TV in the room so we opted to create an art feature with round mirrors, trimmed in black metal.

For the bedding, we chose a comforter in a blue and white pattern, and velvet green fabric for the shams. Fabric in shades of blue and green was used to create a bolster, and shams made from a navy linen accented with a white tape. Lastly we added a white comforter at the end of the bed, accented with navy stitching  for a lush feel.

For the custom window treatments, we chose to frame the view with panels, made from a white and blue fabric with a whimsy design. The winter treatments are hung from nickel rods and a crystal finial completes the look. Motorized shades are hung at the windows and door providing light control and privacy.
